I have been fishing for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Indiana, I spent summers catching bluegills at my Grandma's lake house with my brother. 

My wife and I moved to Florida in 1981 and that's when I was introduced to saltwater fishing in the Gulf of Mexico by a good friend of mine. Once I caught my first grouper I was hooked. Since then I have spent untold hours on the water fishing the beautiful waters of the Gulf. What started out as a hobby turned into a "fishin' addiction" and now into my business as a charter captain.



We are lucky to live in Southwest Florida where we have beautiful weather year around so we can enjoy fishing and cruising the waters of Pine Island Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. My greatest thrill is to take my family and friends out for a day of fishing or cruising in my new Grady White 282 Sailfish. "Better Days" is my 4th Grady White. Previously I owned a 20' Overnighter, a 24' Explorer, and a 26' Islander.



Many people ask about the boat name, " Better Days". I spent most of my career selling heavy equipment and was fairly successful at it. But one time I was having a bad month and my boss called me in the office and asked what I was going to do to improve. Without a good answer I said, "all I can do is look forward to Better Days".

And hence the name "Better Days" was born. Now when I say I am looking forward to Better Days, you will know it means a day on the water in my beloved Grady White.
